Who can go?
Children 5-12 years old who have suffered a
loss due to death. That loss can involve a brother, sister, parent, or
another significant person in their lives. Complex grieving
situations may not be suitable for Camp "O". All requests to attend
will be reviewed and applicants contacted to confirm acceptance. We
strive to provide a safe and caring environment for all our children.
What do you do there?
Each day there will be crafts, music, circle time
for sharing experiences and feelings, and active
games. The best thing for a sad heart and worried mind is an
active body!
Who is involved?
The Camp "O" team is a group of certified
professionals including registered nurses, social worker, physician,
and trained volunteers. These caring individuals provide a safe
environment and are dedicated to you and your child's wellbeing and
privacy.
What does it cost?
As a not-for-profit organization, Camp
"O" is provided at no cost to children and their
families through the support of local community clubs, organizations,
businesses, and other sponsors from our caring community.
