What is Camp Odonata /Camp O ?

    At Camp Odonata day camp, children participate in fun activities while making friends, sharing memories, asking questions,  and feeling safe to  express feelings about the loss of their loved one. Camp "O" is offered at no cost to children and their families.

                   


Who can go?
                                                                 
Children  5-12 years old who have suffered  a  loss due to death. That loss can involve a brother, sister, parent, or another  significant person in their lives. Complex grieving situations may not be suitable for Camp "O". All requests to attend will be reviewed and applicants contacted to confirm acceptance. We strive to provide a safe and caring environment for all our children.   
                                     

What do you do there?

Each day there will be crafts, music, circle time  for sharing experiences  and   feelings, and active games. The best thing for a sad heart and worried mind is an active body!
                                                                
Who is involved? 

The Camp "O" team is a group of certified professionals including registered nurses, social worker, physician, and trained volunteers. These caring individuals provide a safe environment and are dedicated to you and your child's wellbeing and privacy.

What does it cost?


As a not-for-profit organization, Camp "O" is provided at no cost to children and their families through the support of local community clubs, organizations, businesses, and other sponsors from our caring community.
